All year my family has been looking forward to our annual Disney Christmas vacation.
I’ll admit – so have I.
2016 has been a year that I don’t care to repeat (I’m sure many feel the same for different reasons) and the moment we all sat on the plane, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief and relaxed a little.
These past days have been exactly what we needed as a family. A true vacation. We relaxed (as much as you can relax while visiting Disney), we laughed, we teased each other, we sat and discussed wedding dreams (much to the dismay of my husband who does not understand why teen girls start planning their perfect wedding so early in life) and we were able to forget all about the stress of this past year and live in the moment.
That’s what vacation is supposed to be about, right? Living in the moment? Experiencing all that life can offer you and embracing it. However…with three teenage girls all between the ages of 13-18…the embracing part varied as you can imagine…but embrace we did.
I love visiting Disney during the holidays. Have I mentioned that before? My husband…he’s not much of a mouse man but he puts up with it for me and for the promise of visiting Captain America at Universal afterwards …
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be posting reviews of the new Disney Polynesian Bungalows (we are Disney Vacation members so we were able to book this luxury property based on our points) along with a few of my favorite dessert places we visited (like Amorette’s Patisserie and the Chocolate Emporium). You’ll be getting these in your inbox, so stay tuned!
If there is anything specifically you’d like to know about when it comes to Disney vacations or visiting Universal…let me know!
In the meantime…I hope you’ve been following me on Instagram where I’ve been sharing my favorite moments!
Talking about Christmas…did you know that I have some Christmas stories available? A good one to start with is called Halfway to Nowhere. I hope you enjoy it! Click on the image to purchase a copy from Amazon.
