You know that feeling when something completely captures your heart and soul?
That’s what Santorini did for me.
I had a feeling the island would be special – it was probably the one place I was so excited to visit – I’m not sure if it was all the churches with the blue domes or the cliffs or the feel you experience when looking at the photos. But whatever it was – it called to me.
My time in Santorini wasn’t long enough. A few short hours was only a tease to the senses – but enough of a tease I knew I had to return.
I bought a large oil painting that I will have my husband frame in whitewashed wood and hang above my tub. I’ll be able to see it from my bed or when I’m relaxing in a bubble bath.
All those images you see online, on yogurt commercials and postcards – they can’t compare to how beautiful it is in person.
